I was cleaning my television screen with a microfiber cloth and touched my cable box and I was surprised, am I right?
I know it sounds stupid, but I was cleaning my television screen is reached very dusty, and put my hand on the cable box and has a very large impact it on my finger. You think it's something I must do something about it or just forget it? The television was when I was cleaning with fabric that was a mistake to assume.
Yes, that was a mistake. Clean the screen with the TV off (and not use chemicals, only distilled water, but that's another matter.) Lo I did was pick up a small electrostatic charge ( "static electricity"), which is discharged through the metal box cable receiver. There should be no hurt, no cable box, but an electrostatic shock through any electronic device is a bad idea. You may want to check out all functions of cable to make sure everything is okay - it probably is, but just to be safe.
